The packing is braided from expanded flexible graphite yarns which are reinforced by cotton fiber or glass fiber, and then impregnated with PTFE resin. Compared with traditional graphite packing, it has better cross-section tightness, structural strength and lower friction factor, protecting shafts and stems against abrasion.
KXT1040 Graphite packing with PTFE corners
The packing contains the advantages of both graphite and PTFE. The PTFE corners can effectively prevent the graphite being extruded.
Applications:
Widely used for both static and dynamic sealing applications. Particularly suitable for valves, pumps, expansion joints, mixers and agitators in high temperature and high pressure environments in paper mills, power stations and chemical plants.
